Salisbury’s Roads are overcrowded and polluted. Highways England proposed review of the Southampton Road will be too little and too late. Traffic pollution across Salisbury and congestion on whole of the A36 needs to be looked at. Our roads are unsuitable for lorries moving freight from Southampton to the West County and alternative routes exist.   Nitrogen Oxide particles are higher than permissible levels on parts of the A36 and too high across the city. This damages the health of the especially the young and elderly and is unpleasant for visitors, walkers and cyclists. Salisbury’s Roads are overcrowded and polluted.
